About Us

Who We Are

The Wang & Tangang Foundation is an international, youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing sustainable development, global citizenship, and community-driven solutions across the Global South.
We work at the intersection of humanitarian action, youth empowerment, peacebuilding, and advocacy, delivering programs that respond to real needs while aligning with global development frameworks.

Our Story

Our journey began with Upendo, a community-based initiative founded to address a simple but critical challenge: connecting willing donors with people in urgent need. Through Upendo, hundreds of individuals received essential support, and strong trust was built with communities, partners, and volunteers.

Recognizing the need to scale impact, strengthen governance, and engage internationally, Upendo evolved into the Wang & Tangang Foundation — a registered nonprofit committed to long-term, accountable, and scalable solutions.

The Foundation was born from lived experience and grassroots action.
